Po zhromaždení dostatočných skúseností s modelom 155 GTA (model SE051) sa Alfa Corse ujala projektu SE052 pre DTM. Alfa Romeo 155 DTM debutovala v sezóne 1993 a dokonca trochu prekvapivo dokázala poraziť konkurenciu Mercedesu. Regulácia DTM bola založená na regulácii skupiny A, ale s niekoľkými ďalšími úľavami. Konštruktéri teda mali jasnejšie pole, čo znamenalo väčšie technické a ekonomické nasadenie. After gaining sufficient experience with the 155 GTA (model SE051), Alfa Corse took on the SE052 project for the DTM. The Alfa Romeo 155 DTM debuted in the 1993 season and, somewhat surprisingly, even managed to beat the Mercedes competition. The DTM regulations were based on those of Group A, but with a few additional concessions. The constructors therefore had a clearer field, which meant greater technical and economic commitment. At the end of the season, the championship win came with Larini, who also took home the satisfaction of excellence at the Nurburgring, home of the DTM specialists. Scale 1:12. Nachdem mit dem 155 GTA (Modell SE051) ausreichend Erfahrungen gesammelt wurden, übernahm Alfa Corse das Projekt SE052 für die DTM. Der Alfa Romeo 155 DTM debütierte in der Saison 1993 und schaffte es überraschenderweise sogar, die Mercedes-Konkurrenz zu schlagen. Das DTM-Reglement orientierte sich am Reglement der Gruppe A, allerdings mit einigen zusätzlichen Zugeständnissen. Für die Konstrukteure war der Spielraum dadurch größer, was einen größeren technischen und wirtschaftlichen Einsatz mit sich brachte. Am Ende der Saison holte Larini den Meistertitel und konnte zudem die Genugtuung einer hervorragenden Leistung auf dem Nürburgring, der Heimat der DTM-Spezialisten, mit nach Hause nehmen.
